Montenegro is a country located in Southeastern Europe, with an access to the Adriatic Sea. It borders with Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Serbia, and across the Adriatic Sea with Italy. The capital city is Podgorica. Montenegro is classified as a small country with an area of 14.000 km2 and a population of just over 600.000,00 inhabitants.

Montenegro is very rich in natural beauty. Its mountains, lakes and the sea are a treasure of this part of Europe.

The government system is a parliamentary democracy. Montenegro is the member of the NATO alliance, the United Nations, the Council of Europe, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Also, Montenegro has been a candidate for membership in the European Union since 2010.

The security situation in Montenegro is very stable and the life of an individual is not threatened on any basis. The cities within the country are well connected by roads, and you can easily find yourself enjoying your coffee by the sea and in the mountains within a two-hour drive.

The climate is Mediterranean and extremely mild. On average, Montenegro has more than 200 sunny days per year.
